Today was Jason’s Birthday. Happy Birthday Jason! I made these cupcakes for him over the weekend. He loves vanilla cake with chocolate icing. I used this recipe from The Recipe Link that claims to be the same icing as Buttercup Bakeshop in NYC. J said that it was pretty close. I liked it because it wasn’t too chocolatey or too sweet. I have a hard time just making things simply without complications. It took all of my restraint to not add some orange zest to these…but sometimes simple is best.
lol, I know what you mean. When ever I start making cupcakes for my nephews I have t hold myself back from adding all sorts of extras like I would for us.
